Facebook & Display Advertising

Anybody who doubts the value of the Facebook franchise as an powerful advertising medium should pay attention to this: 25% of all display advertising now runs on Facebook.

As an ex-Yahoo! employee, it pains me to see this news. But Facebook does represent the genius and the cockiness of the new internet.

This "art" is a bunch of torn pieces of paper.

Saw this in Limerick, Ireland. I think this should be the only way to repair teeth - while you wait.

The Europeans are convinced that Obama is a socialist - I saw posters like this, and this sentiment throughout Ireland last week. I also like the the heading: WallStreet, subprime, Iraq - assigning equal evil to all three. Oct 18, 2008.

Animal Farm

I am reading Animal Farm now - rather late, I admit (I am 32) but I guess better late than never.  There is an incredible paragraph which goes something like this (not exactly)

"The animals couldn't make up their mind who was right, and seemed to be in agreement with whichever pig was speaking at that moment".

Classic.
